It’s January, which means it’s time for the annual Awesome Games Done Quick charity drive. The best speedrunners from around the world will show off their skills by beating a variety of games in the quickest ways possible.

The event will take place in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and streamed live on the Games Done Quick Twitch channel. The pre-show begins on Sunday, January 14, at 8:30am Pacific/11:30am Eastern, and will run through next Saturday, January 20th.

The opening run will be Tunic, while the finale will feature Final Fantasy 5 Pixel Remaster.

Recent games getting the speedrun treatment this year include Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Risk of Rain Returns, Octopath Traveler 2, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. There’s even a Baldur’s Gate 3 speedrun!

The schedule features games from every gaming era, from Super Metroid, Ninja Gaiden, and Bad Dudes, to StarCraft, Mario Kart Wii, and Halo: Combat Evolved. The full streaming schedule can be found here.

The other reason to watch is to donate to charity. Awesome Games Done Quick 2024 is supporting the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Donations can be made directly on the viewing page, and often unlock special perks from the streamers.

Last year’s AGDQ raised over $2.6 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
