The Stronger Together in Games crowdfunding campaign is raising money to support charitable organizations in the gaming industry.

The crowdfunding campaign unites the following organizations: The International Game Developers Association, the IGDA Foundation, Women in Games International, Global Game Jam, Take This, and Game to Grow.

Each of these organizations support those working in the gaming industry with professional networking, skill development, and mental health support.

The charity drive is aiming to raise $100,000 in donations between now and the end of the year, as well as an additional $50,000 from corporate sponsors. Sponsors who have pledged so far include Amazon Games, Google, and Sega.

“The past year has been a challenging time for the games industry. As non-profit organizations that support game creators and players worldwide, we’re seeing skyrocketing demand for our programs and services” said Dr. Jakin Vela, Executive Director, IGDA. “The funds we raise will support our continued efforts in creating and sharing resources, facilitating networking opportunities and mentorship, and coordinating impactful programming aimed to diversify the industry, and more.”

The campaign will feature a 24-hour charity stream on December 8th.
