Just in time for Halloween, The Pokémon Company revealed another new Pokémon that trainers can find in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Greavard, the Ghost Dog Pokémon! Enjoy the fun cinematic trailer above, and the gameplay trailer below.
Greavard looks like an adorable combination of a shaggy dog, the classic Mario Boo ghost, and a candle.
Although it’s a Ghost type, Greavard is quite friendly and personable. It’s easy to train and loves to follow trainers around Paldea. It can be tricky to find, however, preferring to lie in wait underground with only its eerie lit candle showing above ground.
It’s no slouch in combat, however. Greavard can drain the life of those around it, and its powerful jaws can pack a serious punch.
As a nod to dogs loving to play fetch, Greavard comes with the Pickup ability. Pickup allows Greavard to copy any single-use held item after it’s used. A Pokémon with this ability also has a chance to pick up extra items after a battle.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will launch on November 18 on Nintendo Switch.
