Credit to E3 for never staying truly dead. After several years of COVID-related cancelations and virtual-only events, the Electronic Entertainment Expo will return to the Los Angeles Convention Center next year. E3 2022 will run from Tuesday, June 13 through Friday, June 16, 2023.

E3 2023 will be organized into “Business Days” and “Gamer Days,” although one of the days is, er, both business and gamer. Business days run from June 13-15, and are reserved exclusively for industry personnel, including developers, publishers, and media.

The general public will be invited for the gamer days, from June 15-16, in a separate hall. Consumers will be able to play the latest games and demos, and meet with developers and content creators.

In hopeful news, E3 is being operated by ReedPop, a professional expo company who runs many geeky and gaming-centric events, including PAX.

“E3 is one of the global gaming industry’s few opportunities to come together, unite as one loud voice, and show the world what it is creating,” said Kyle Marsden-Kish, VP of Gaming, ReedPop. “Our vision is to reunite the industry by re-establishing the traditional E3 week, bring back that spark, and restore E3’s role as a truly magical global showcase event for game creators and consumers.”
