After ringing in the New Year, why not watch the world’s best speed-runners doing what they do best? Games Done Quick is hosting the annual charity streaming event Awesome Games Done Quick this weekend and throughout the next week, January 3 – 10, via the official GDQ Twitch channel.

The event kicks off at 10:30 am local time on Sunday, January 3. The first day’s game’s include Donkey Kong Country, Dragon Age: Origins, and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Check out the full seven day schedule here.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Awesome Games Done Quick will be entirely virtual, creating the new name of Awesome Games Done Quick 2021 Online. The event will feature a “Virtual interactive crowd experience” via Twitch Chat. Subscribers can use emotes to make the audience cheer on the runners throughout the event.

For each event GDQ supports a charity organization. This year’s charity is the Prevent Cancer Foundation. One hundred percent of all donations made during AGDQ 2021 Online will go directly to Prevent Cancer Foundation. You can donate during the event at the main website. Past charities include Doctors Without Borders, AbleGamers, and Organization for Autism Research. To date, GDQ has raised over $28 million.

Last year over 2,700 people attended the Awesome Games Done Quick live event, with concurrent viewers on Twitch peaking at over 230,000, and over $3 million raised in donations.
