Evolution Board Game is coming to Nintendo Switch. North Star Digital Studios has announced the digital adaptation of the popular and critically acclaimed board game will arrive on Switch on December 10, for $19.99.

In Evolution players create new species, grow their population and size, and assign trait cards to maximize their food intake and ward off predators. Food equals victory points, but grow too fast and your species will starve and die out.

The digital version, which first released last year on PC and mobile devices, includes online multiplayer, skill-based matchmaking, and leaderboards. A single player campaign includes a full tutorial, 21 levels, and unique boss encounters.

The Switch version includes revamped controls to support the Joy-Con. Evolution also supports Pass and Play local multiplayer (in addition to online) as well as cross-play support with PC, Mac, and mobile players. The Switch version also includes an exclusive tiger skin for your avatar.

Pre-orders are available now. If you pre-order before launch you’ll receive the Evolutionary Arms Race Promo Pack, which includes five new trait cards.

Evolution will be available on Switch on December 10. It’s also on Steam, and iOS and Android mobile devices.
