[Update]: Artist BossLogic has completed the banner, and Ubisoft has confirmed the next Assassin’s Creed game is Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. The world premiere trailer will drop tomorrow, April 30 at 8 am Pacific/11 am Eastern.

[Original Story]: This may be a first. Ubisoft is announcing the next Assassin’s Creed game by livestreaming the artist, who is currently creating the official logo via Photoshop.

Astonishingly, the stream has been going on all day today, beginning at 5 am Pacific/8 am Eastern by renowned artist BossLogic. BossLogic has been creating everything in real time, drawing in details of the two scenes. A figure in the foreground started as a black silhouette, and now appears to be an armored viking-like warrior. One scene shows longships full of warriors, the other a medical battle with castle ruins in the background.

No official announcement or reveal has yet been made. The web domain name AssassinsCreedValhalla.com was recently registered. All these clues point to a Viking-themed entry in the series.

This would follow the recent series of Assassin’s Creed games that have greatly expanded the gameplay and delved deep into the historical past, starting with Origins (Ancient Egypt) in 2017 and Odyssey (Ancient Greece) in 2018. We didn’t get a new AC game last year (other than Odyssey’s DLC), so we’re due for another main entry, most likely this Holiday season.
