Collegiate esports league Collegiate StarLeague have partnered with mobile video-sharing platform TikTok to form The TikTok Cup. The TikTok Cup is a team and school-based esports tournament starting on May 9, featuring four games and $60,000 in cash prizes.

The TikTok Cup games include four of the biggest competitive multiplayer games: Fortnite, League of Legends, Rocket League, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The event will take place over eight tournaments, two for each game, with the initial qualifying matches running May 9 – 10 and May 17 – 18.

“Collegiate StarLeague is thrilled to collaborate with the TikTok team to give collegiate gamers the opportunity to create their own content celebrating the intersection of esports, gaming, and the joy of creating TikTok videos,” says Wim Stocks, CEO, Collegiate StarLeague. “We’re excited to see what sort of creative videos players come up with – huge thanks to TikTok for this wonderful partnership.”

With a TikTok partnership comes a video-sharing contest. Esports fans are encouraged to upload gaming and esports-related videos via TikTok, tagging the official StarLeague account and the hashtag #TikTokCupContest. Fifty winners will be selected on May 22. Winners will receive a price pack containing gaming gear and merchandise worth around $100. See here for full rules and eligibility.

Final matches for all four games will stream May 11 – 14 and May 18 – 21 on the Collegiate StarLeague twitch channel.
