Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have released a new trailer for Pokémon Sword and Shield. The trailer introduces several unique new Galar-specific evolution and forms for classic Pokémon, a new form-changing Pokémon, and a new villainous faction.

The new Galar region-specific Pokémon are Galarian Weezing (Poison/Fairy), Galarian Zigzagoon (Dark/Normal), Galarian Linoone (Dark/Normal), and Linoone’s new Galarian evolution, Obstagoon (Dark/Normal). Galarian Weezing is the first ever dual Poison and Fairy type Pokémon. Plus it has a top hat.

The new form-changing Pokémon is Morpeko, an Electric/Dark type with the unique ability Hunger switch. Every turn Morpeko switches between two visually distinctive forms: Full Belly mode, and Hangry mode. We’ve all been there, Morpeko. Its signature move, Aura Wheel, which looks like a psychedelic hamster wheel, changes type depending on which mode Morpeko is in. In Fully Belly Mode it’s an Electric move; in Hangry mode it becomes the Dark type.

The trailer also revealed a new rival group, the punk rock soccer hooligans known as Team Yell. They always show up to support their champion, Marnie, a popular trainer who battles using a Morpeko. Another rival champion, Bede, was also shown, apparently endorsed by Rose, the chairman of the Galar Pokémon League.

Pokémon Sword and Shield are releasing exclusively on Nintendo Switch on November 15. It’s rated E for Everyone.
