Xseed Games have opened up pre-orders and announced a special physical edition for upcoming 2D RPG Heroland. Heroland is due out this fall on PlayStation 4 and Switch.

Heroland was originally announced earlier this summer at E3. It features the same colorful, cute JRPG art style of the Mother and Legend of Mana series, and directed by the same developer as Fantasy Life (Takahiro Yamane). The game takes place in a tropical theme park resort where players take on the role of tour guides.

The tour guide’s job is to help lead heroes through dungeons, find loot, and beat up monsters. Tour guides can fully customize their party of heroes from a pool of over 20 diverse characters.

Things take a dark turn as the action gets a little too real (Westworld anyone!?) and the heroes must save Heroland, and the world.

Xseed have announced a special day one physical edition, called the “Knowble” Edition. The Knowble Edition (above) includes a drawstring pouch, soundtrack, physical map of the Heroland park, and papercraft figures. The Knowble Edition will be the only physical edition available at launch. A standard digital version will also be available for $39.99 on the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop.

Heroland is due out this fall on PlayStation 4 and Switch. It has not yet been rated by the ESRB.
