The Pokémon Company has released a new trailer that confirms Mega Evolutions for upcoming Pokémon game Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!  Both games are coming to Switch November 16.

The trailer explores the Kanto Region, the setting of the first Pokémon games, recreated in 3D. We see familiar locations like the S.S. Anne and Vermilion City, and Gym Leaders like Lt. Surge. He specializes in Electric Pokémon, naturally.

The lovable bumbling duo of Team Rocket will also be there to harry trainers on their path to the Elite Four.

We also see Mega Evolutions for the original Kanto starter Pokémon: Venasaur, Charizard, and Blastoise. Mega Evolutions were initially introduced in 2013’s Pokémon X and Y as a once-per battle super-form. Trainers must acquire a Pokémon’s Mega Stone in order to unleash the Mega Evolution, and only select Pokémon have Mega Stones.

Pokémon Let’s Go will combine the capture and battle mechanics of hit mobile game Pokémon GO with a traditional Pokémon RPG. It recreates the original Kanto Region along with the original 151 Pokémon (Pokémon GO has since added several generations more Pokémon to its roster).

Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! will star the famous electric mouse as your partner Pokémon, who will follow the trainer around on the world map. Sandshrew, Oddish, and Growlithe are exclusive to this version. The exclusive Pokémon to Let’s Go, Eevee! are Bellsprout, Vulpix, and Meowth.

The games will be playable with only a single Joy-Con controller. Two players can play cooperatively each using their own half of the Joy-Con.

Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eeevee! will arrive on Nintendo Switch on November 16. They’re rated E for Everyone.
