Frontier Developments, in partnership with Universal, have released Jurassic World Evolution for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Watch the new launch trailer above.

Jurassic World Evolution is a park management sim, not unlike 2003’s Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis. Narrated and guided by series star Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), players take on the role of managing dinosaur theme parks at various tropical islands within the Muertes Archipelago. Build attractions to woo guests, research dinosaur DNA, and incubate bigger and badder dinosaurs to make each park profitable.

Evolution is set in the later Jurassic World timeline. Many familiar faces and names from the series show up, including Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Dr. Wu (BD Wong).

“Jurassic World Evolution immerses players and fans of the movies in the Jurassic World universe,” said Jonny Watts, Chief Creative Officer, Frontier. “With masses of rich franchise lore, iconic characters, incredible living dinosaurs and islands you can reshape and construct however you choose, Jurassic World Evolution brings the dream of building and running your own Isla Nublar to life. This is YOUR Jurassic World, and we can’t wait to see what players create.”

With the imminent release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in theaters June 22, Frontier is launching a Fallen Kingdom DLC pack, including a new hybrid dinosaur featured in the film. The DLC tie-in will be available as a free download on June 22.

Jurassic World Evolution is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One as a digital download. A physical release for PS4 and XBO will be available on July 3. It’s rated T for Teen.
