Esports video broadcasting company Level Up Media (formerly DingIt TV Limited) has announced the launch of its new media website, TheGamer.TV. TheGamer.TV aims to be the first website dedicated to clips and videos from video games.

“We’re incredibly excited to be launching TheGamer.TV. It’s the first dedicated video platform for mainstream gamers where they can watch premium content featuring the biggest games, franchises and titles, without sifting through masses of other videos,” said Adam Simmons, VP for Content and Marketing at Level Up Media.

Level Up Media had found success with DingIt.TV, their premium eSports video website, boasting over 30 million users per month. TheGamer.TV looks to target a more mainstream audience beyond competitive eSports, including blockbuster franchises like Overwatch, Destiny 2, FIFA, and Grand Theft Auto.

Videos include funny clips, walkthrough guides, tips, and skillful gameplay. Most videos are short clips of a few minutes or less.

“This is a natural progression for Level Up Media following the growth of DingIt.TV,” said Simmons. “We have found that, while DingIt is incredibly popular with eSports fans, there are millions of others who want funny, quick-fire moments and tips alongside competitive gameplay. TheGamer is the new home for those content creators and fans, and the brands who want to reach them.”

All video content is curated by human moderators rather than algorithms. Level Up Media hopes to court targeted advertisers seeking a relevant audience for their products. The company estimates over 1.2 billion users hungry for such content.
