PC gaming digital store GOG has unveiled a new sale called Piñata Madness. In addition to many games on sale you can purchase a piñata for $3. Instead of candy these piñatas hold a mystery game from a list of over 100 games. On top of that you can grab Deadlight: Director’s Cut for free, just by clicking on the button on the GOG front page. The Piñata Madness sale will end August 21.

GOG states that the piñata mystery games are full games (no DLC) worth between $5.99 and $44.99. That makes each purchase a good bargain. But you still don’t know what you’re going to get, and sale prices could make any game comparably cheap anyway. For example, Heroes of Might and Magic III is currently on sale for $3.39.

Here’s a list of other notable games on sale during the Piñata Madness:

  • No Man’s Sky $23.99 (60% off)
  • Darkest Dungeon $9.99 (60% off)
  • Pillars of Eternity $17.99 (60% off)
  • War for the Overworld $10.49 (65% off)
  • Dreamfall Chapters $14.99 (40% off)
  • Invisible Inc  $5.99 (70% off)
  • Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons $2.99 (80% off)
  • Shadowrun: Hong Kong $4.99 (75% off)
  • Batman: The Telltale Series $8.79 (65% off)

If you’re curious there’s a thread on reddit where people list the games they’ve received in the mystery piñatas. Examples include Terraria ($9.99), Tesla Effect ($19.99), Amnesia: The Dark Descent ($19.99), Shelter ($9.99), and Deponia 3 ($19.99).

Note that you won’t get any duplicates of games you already own through GOG. However GOG makes no such distinction between games you may already own on other digital stores such as Steam (other than the games on GOG Connect).

New games will be added to the pool of mystery games, but any piñata will be assigned its game at the time of purchase.

The 2017 Piñata Madness sale will end August 21.
