At EVO today, Square Enix announced that the beta for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is now open for registration. Players interested in trying out the game on PlayStation 4 can sign up for a chance to take part in the closed beta here. Only a select number of players will be chosen to participate. Those lucky few will receive an email with the registration code, so be sure to keep an eye on your inbox!
Dissidia Final Fantasy NT has been an arcade fighting game in Japan since 2015. This new port of the game will bring it to a worldwide player base while also offering a major revamping of the controls. The closed beta will take place over the summer, giving players the chance to test out the team-based gameplay as they battle one another in the form of various Final Fantasy heroes and villains. Combat includes both 1-v-1 and 3-v-3 matches with each battle taking place in a classic Final Fantasy location. For those able to get a taste of the action, Square Enix has released a tutorial video for the game that helps explain the basics.
The finished version of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is set to release in early 2018.
