Telltale Games have announced the title and release date for the first episode of their upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy adventure game. The first episode, “Tangled Up in Blue,” will be available for digital download on April 18 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, iOS and Android.
If you prefer a physical copy that will unlock all five episodes when they’re released, it will be available in North America on May 2, globally on May 5.

The trailer shows off the intergalactic super team, and confirms that the game is based more on the film universe rather than the comics.
A new image has also been released, showing the villainous Thanos. Thanos has appeared in many of the Marvel films as an impending threat. The image and trailer make it look like the Guardians will have to deal with him directly.
The official box art has also been released.
Guardians of the Galaxy is the most recent in a long line of licensed games from Telltale. It’s their first Marvel game, though they’ve previously tackled the superhero genre with Batman: The Telltale Series. Telltale Games is also in the middle of producing the third season of its Walking Dead games, titled The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. The third of five planned episodes, “Above the Law,” was released earlier this week. A second season for their Game of Thrones series has also been announced.
