Late this February, the 1st annual ART BOSS will be coming to San Francisco. ART BOSS is a showcase of the work done by video game artists, from early concept art to pieces featured in the released version of the game. iam8bit, a production company that focuses on creative projects, has put together the show with the help of the Game Developers Conference 2017. Submissions are now open for professional video game artists and will stay open until January 6th.

iam8bit hopes to encourage an appreciation of the amazing art featured in games as well as the people who create it. Officials also hope to inspire and connect artists in the industry just as GDC has managed to do in the past. In addition to displaying each piece of art physically, ART BOSS is creating a digital archive. People all over the world will be able to access it indefinitely.

ART BOSS will be held in the Moscone Center over the weekend of GDC 2017, which runs from February 27th through March 3rd. Attendees of the conference can check out the exhibit, and all featured artists will get a GDC All Access pass free of charge.
