The crazy online survival game, ARK: Survival Evolved, will be making its way to PlayStation 4 on December 6. The game is already available on PC and Xbox One in Early Access and Preview Mode respectively. The PlayStation 4 version is called the ARK: Survivors Pack and includes the base game as well as the Scorched Earth expansion. Just like the other platforms, players who purchase the PlayStation 4 version will continue to receive game updates until its official release next spring.

If you’re not familiar with ARK, here’s the scoop. You wake up naked on a weird island. From there you have to hunt, harvest and craft weapons and shelter to avoid dying, either by the elements or being eaten by one of the many species of dinosaur. Once you have yourself basically settled, you can start to tame those dinosaurs to do what you want. This involves everything from using them as animals to help you farm to riding them around the crazy island. You can continue to craft weapons of better and better quality and customized your dinosaurs to fit your growing needs. It’s possible to play the game alone, but it can also be played similar to other MMOs where you can join tribes to help you along and share resources.

In our early look on at the game in Early Access on PC, Eric Watson said, “ARK: Survival Evolved is the most compelling survival game I’ve ever played. An island full of dinosaurs and wondrous beasts just waiting to be tamed, explored, hunted, and built around is just fantastic.”

The ARK Survivors Pack will be available on PlayStation 4 on December 6 and will cost $54.99.
