The highly anticipated Mass Effect: Andromeda is coming out in late 2016. Now we have learned that the team behind the game has just lost its development director, Chris Wynn. Wynn is not just leaving ME:A, but is departing entirely from Bioware, the studio behind the franchise.

Wynn made the announcement on Twitter:

He went on:

No further reasons were given for Wynn’s departure, though BioWare did release a statement:

“Chris was a great member of the team. We want to thank him for his contributions and we wish him the best in his new adventures. Development of Mass Effect Andromeda continues to move full speed ahead at BioWare Montreal, Edmonton and Austin.”

Before Mass Effect, Wynn worked on the Madden and Gears of War franchises. We wish him the best.
