Sumo Digital is releasing their first big DLC (downloadable content) next month. LittleBigPlanet 3: The Journey Home picks up immediately where LittleBigPlanet 3 ended—or didn’t end, as it turns out.
According to a post on the official PlayStation blog, The Journey Home is going to re-explore characters and elements of the first two LittleBigPlanet games. That’s super exciting for players who have stuck with the series all this way.
The best part is that new DLC means new objects will be available in LittleBigPlanet’s level creator. The LBP community is wonderful at using game assets to create their own free community levels. With the LBP level-creation tools, people have made millions of creations. You can find fully realized games, homages to other video games, short film-type creations, and more. The hardest part is sorting through the creations to find the best ones. But LittleBigPlanet 3 added a Level of the Day feature to its online community that makes it easier than ever to find great community levels to play.
To mark the six-month-iversary of LittleBigPlanet 3, Sumo Digital is also releasing new costumes that will be free to download from the PlayStation store.
