1. What’s your favorite kind of video game to play with your family?
Mario Brothers, any Lego game
2. What’s your favorite quality in a male game character? Female game character?
Right now I am playing the Lego Marvel game and love Iron Man’s snarky attitude and that he can fly. I like female characters that are smart and strong.
3. What kinds of game do you avoid?
Shooter games
4. What’s your favorite quality in your gaming buddies (kids or not)?
One who jumps up cheering when you finally complete a level. My daughter is the best at this!!
5. What’s your main fault as a gamer?
I have to finish all the side quests to feel I have truly completed a game. This can annoy my family, but I LOVE it!
6. How has gaming shaped your identity?
I have loved gaming since I was a kid, but gave it up for a while when my kids were little. We have been gaming together now for the last five or six years and it has allowed me to embrace my inner geek. It has also given me a shared geek identity with my daughter, which has been really great for our relationship.
7. What’s your idea of a miserable gaming experience?
Not being able to complete a level!

I love all of the Mario stories!

Harry Potter in the Lego games. I love his loyalty and perseverance in his quest.

Chips and candy corn 🙂

To be able to fly.

I’m not sure that I have ever died in an interesting way…I was speared by a shy guy in Paper Mario.
