Story & Themes
Um Jammer Lammy is about the titular protagonist, Lammy, who is a member of a band called MilkCan. On the night before her band's first concert, Lammy has a dream in which a famous musician, Chop Chop Master Onion, tells her that the confidence she gains when playing the guitar is all in her head. Upon waking up, Lammy realizes that she's late for the concert and hurries to it, but a series of obstacles stand in her way. Caught up in a spiral of helping others and then subsequently being derailed even further from her goal, Lammy learns to appreciate Chop Chop Master Onion's advice. She discovers how to be brave without a guitar in her hand, and finally uses this new-found courage to arrive at the concert. Her other band mates, as it turns out, were also delayed in getting to the concert, so everyone arrives at the same time. Together, the members of MilkCan take to the stage and perform their set list in front of a group of adoring fans.
The game has two different difficulty levels: Normal and Easy. Easy mode is essentially used for the purpose of practicing. Players won't be penalized for messing up the buttons or timing in this mode, but any progress made won't be saved.
- Is there an object in your life that brings you comfort or courage like Lammy's guitar? How would you feel without it?
- Is keeping the rhythm while playing the guitar difficult or easy for you? Do you think there is any musical skill involved? Why or why not?
