Story & Themes
In The Turing Test, an engineer named Ava Turing is woken up aboard a spaceship orbiting Europa. Her job with the International Space Agency has sent her to Jupiter's moon, but her expectations for the mission are quickly dashed when the station's AI, T.O.M., informs her that the ground crew is in trouble. T.O.M. urges her to go down to the surface of Europa and help them, and Ava quickly follows T.O.M.'s advice. However, upon landing, Ava learns that the base has been configured with a series of tests that she must pass to progress any farther. With T.O.M.'s assistance, she sets out to solve each puzzle that her crewmates have put into place while gradually learning more about what is going on.
The puzzles aren't too challenging and don't hinge upon trickier aspects like timing or quick reflexes.
Violence A few mildly violent images appear towards the end of the game.
Strong Language Occasional strong language is present in the latter half of the game.
- What do you think about T.O.M.? Is he the antagonist of the game? Does the game truly have an antagonist?
- Do the puzzles ever give you any trouble? If so, how do you move past getting stuck?
