Story & Themes
In Stardew Valley, the playable character is working a monotonous office job when they receive a letter from their recently-deceased grandfather. In his will, he's bequeathed his farm in Stardew Valley to the protagonist in the hopes of providing them an escape from the fast pace and pressures of modern city life. The player immediately quits their job, moving out to the country to start a new life among the overgrown farmlands and the people of nearby Pelican Town.
Save Points
The game saves every time the player goes to sleep at night.
Difficulty
The game is pretty straightforward and easy to play. However, if players are ever confused about something, there are plenty of online guides available for them to consult.
Heads Up!
Violence If players venture into the mines, they will encounter various creatures and monsters that can be defeated with daggers, clubs, swords, or slingshots. When killed, monsters will simply disappear. The player character can be knocked unconscious if their health drops below zero, and this will result in the loss of random inventory items and occasionally money.
Sex & Nudity Players can marry and have children, but the game only shows some very G-rated kissing.
