Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic takes place about 4,000 years before the Galactic Empire came into existence. The main antagonist, Darth Malak, is waging war against the Republic with his Sith army, and the Jedi are not faring particularly well. The player character wakes up on a Republic ship with no memory of who he/she is, but he/she decides to help defend against the threat of Malak anyway. In order to stop him, the protagonist travels around the galaxy searching for information about something called the "Star Forge:" the supposed source of Malak's power. Along the way, the protagonist gradually recovers past memories and attempts to solve the mystery of his/her true identity.
