Story & Themes
Star Wars: Hunters is set between Star Wars Episode 6 and 7 (the Original Trilogy and the New Trilogy). On the planet Vespaara, rebel warriors, former Imperial soldiers, and force-wielders across the galaxy compete for fame and fortune in The Arena.
As a free-to-play PvP game, Hunters lacks a single player campaign or central story — it's all about the online matches. Teams of four compete in multiple game modes to complete objectives and rack up kills before the match ends.
Players can choose from several different Star Wars-inspired characters, including mandalorians, droids, stormtroopers, even a Jawa, and customize them with different gear, skins, and accessories.
Difficulty
Star Wars: Hunters is a third-person shooter and action game. Controls are optimized for mobile users and easy to deploy character skills. Maps are smaller, objectives are clear, and the colorful world and art design makes it easy to distinguish enemies. All of this makes Hunters an accessible PvP shooter.
Heads Up!
Violence Fast-paced, chaotic combat is the name of the game, with players firing laser blasts, swinging lightsabers, and shooting out fire at one another. The cartoony graphics and Star Wars theme make the blood-less violence palatable for younger audiences. If they can watch a Stars Wars movie, they can handle Star Wars: Hunters.
Consumerism As a free-to-play game, Star Wars: Hunters is supported by microtransactions, including a $10 battle pass, and individual characters, and customization options. Players can also (slowly) earn Crystals and Credits to unlock some premium goodies in-game. At least one character is locked behind the premium battle pass, however.
Online Community
As an online PvP combat game, Star Wars: Hunters must be played online in 4v4 team-based matches.
