Story & Themes
Sportsball lacks any kind of story, instead focusing on multiplayer gameplay. Through various competitive and cooperative modes, players can challenge each other or simply enjoy themselves. The game merges the arcade classic Joust with soccer, and players are mounted on one of four different types of birds. Players either attempt to score points in a goal against each other or compete against each other in duels or two vs. two matches.

Players should be aware that single-player options for Sportsball are pretty limited, so playing with others is definitely recommended.
Difficulty
Each bird has a particular style and moves to learn, so players having difficulty are recommended to stick with one bird and master it instead of switching around. Otherwise, Sportsball isn't too complex or tricky to play and should be accessible to kids of a certain age.
Heads Up!
Violence The jousting style of Sportsball means that there is some inherent violence, but it's very minimal and not in any way realistic.
