Story & Themes
Hellblade 2 picks up where Senua's Sacrifice left off. Having returned from a mind-bending trip to Hel, the 10th century Celtic warrior journeys to Iceland to fight back against the Viking raiders who destroyed her homeland. The world is steeped in Celtic and Norse mythology.
As with the first game, Senua must grapple with her psychosis, which manifests as a darkness within her, as well as helpful (and not so helpful) voices, and hallucinations of monstrous enemies. Her mental health is treated with respect and maturity, and Melina Juergens returns as the motion capture and riveting voicework for the titular character.
The sequel received a much bigger budget (thanks to Xbox's official involvement), and features a more expanded combat system, dynamic weather, and realistic physics.
Save Points

Difficulty

Heads Up!
Violence Hellblade 2 isn't shy about its M-rated violence, with up-close melee combat of sword slashing, blood-splattering, dismemberment, and shrieks of pain, and that's not including the graphic cutscenes.
Scary Imagery Hellblade 2 leans heavily on psychological horror. The protagonist is plagued by a psychosis that manifests as inner voices and monstrous enemies. The world of Senua's Saga is also very bloody and dark.
Strong Language Strong language, including the F-word.
