Story & Themes
ROBLOX is entirely gameplay-based and centered around the world building element. Players can use blocks or bricks to construct their games, and the script Lua to customize the environment. ROBLOX also features its own in-game currency that can be converted to real-world money. In terms of social interaction, players can allow their friends or "followers," the latter being people the player doesn't know in real life, to hang out in their world. As with other MMOs, players can form communities through the game.
Save Points
The game allows players to save a backup file at any point to their computers. Progress can also be saved online to the server whenever players wish to exit the game.
Difficulty
ROBLOX was designed to be kid-friendly, but some of the mechanics are complex and may be too advanced for younger children. The game definitely has a learning curve that kids may need some help surmounting initially, but once they understand how to use the basic design tool, gameplay should be a lot easier.
Heads Up!
Violence Some of the worlds include cartoon weapons.
Consumerism Certain items must be purchased with the in-game currency which has a real world equivalent.
Online Community
ROBLOX has a safe and secure chat mode for players under 13 as well as a function for parents to oversee their child's use of the game. Players over 13 can opt into "Privacy Mode" if they so choose.
