Story & Themes
The President of the United States has decided to finally reveal to the public the truth about the Raccoon City outbreak of 1998. However, an unexpected bio-terrorist attack ends with the president becoming infected, and DSO agent Leon S. Kennedy must kill him. Leon and Secret Service agent Helena Harper then work together to discover the attack's intention and culprits with the aid of allies such as Chris Redfield, a protagonist from a former game.
The game saves automatically at checkpoints.
There may be a bit of a learning curve for players new to the series, especially for those not used to Quick Time Events (QTEs). However, those having too much trouble can play on easier difficulty settings, including Amateur mode which eliminates the need to perform the QTEs.
Violence Resident Evil 6 is heavy on gore and blood, of both the human and zombie variety. Players use guns and melee weapons to battle enemies, and dismemberment and decapitation can occur.
Scary Imagery The zombies in the game are grotesque and can be scary, especially when swarming you in a dark, enclosed space.
Sex & Nudity A female boss appears to be nude, though lacking genitals and nipples. At one point, she straddles the protagonist while stroking her breast.
Strong Language Strong language pops up regularly, including f*ck and sh*t.
Consumerism The Resident Evil franchise includes many games, movies, and graphic novels, etc., but there isn't any explicit product promotion within Resident Evil 6.
Up to four players can engage in an online co-op mode together. In-game chat is supported, and there is no moderation or filtering of it.
