Story & Themes
The plot of Ravensword: Shadowlands is very bare bones and typical of the fantasy genre. The player protagonist is the descendant of a famed king, and this endows him/her with a unique destiny. After a magical attack on the dark elves doesn't go exactly as planned, the protagonist wakes up in a different town with no memory of what happened. The protagonist encounters a wizard who informs him/her about a demon that wants to wreck havoc on the world. In order to stop this demon, the protagonist seeks out ancient artifacts that will allow him/her to enter the Shadowlands where it resides.
The game can be saved manually virtually anytime.
The controls are pretty simple and consist mostly of clicking (or tapping) to fight and using basic walking controls to navigate the world. The most difficult part of playing the game is the frequency at which it can glitch, so players are encouraged to save often.
Violence Shadowlands features your typical brand of fantasy violence which has players wielding weapons like swords and crossbows or using magical spells to combat enemy monsters.
