Project Spark

The basic story is that there's a Creation Well where Sparks live, and a Void where a virus lives. The virus threatens to destroy the world, so a Spark leaves the Creation Well in order to fight it. In Champions Quest: Void Storm, the Team Dakota game included in the Starter Pack, you play as a team of Champions who are fighting the virus and its minions. Your goals are to protect and repair the world.

It's fairly difficult to figure out how to make a game from the ground up. It's a little easier to modify (remix) the games that others have already created. And if you just want to play games within Project Spark and if you're familiar with quest-based roleplaying games, the games included in the basic starter package are fairly easy to play. The games created by the community can range from easy and simple to very difficult.

The online community is large and creative, uploading lots of new games they've made in Project Spark every day. There's a Twitch TV channel just for Project Spark and active forums with helpful advice.
