Muramasa: Rebirth

Muramasa: Rebirth (the Vita port) is functionally the same game as the original Muramasa: Demon Blade but with enhanced graphics, controls, and a few extra stories and characters. The game is set in a fantasy Tokugawa-era Japan. The two main protagonists are both playable, and each have their own storylines.

Momohime is a princess who is possessed by the spirit of Jinkuro, a swordsman whose morals are questionable at best. She is forced to flee her castle and fight Jinkuro's enemies; the two unlikely companions eventually form an interesting bond.

Kisuke is a ninja who has lost his memories.In his quest for inexplicable vengeance, he is joined by Momohime's older sister and aided by Jinkuro's teacher; thus the two protagonists' stories are intertwined.

Both characters are ostensibly after the Demon Blades, which have special powers, including the power to control time.

Muramasa: Rebirth's themes include taking responsibility for past actions, forgiveness, and friendship.

There are intermittent savepoints throughout the world.

The various difficulty settings make the game easy or challenging based on the player's desire.
