Marvel Cosmic Invasion

Annihilus, one of the few major Marvel villains not yet used in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has arrived from the Negative Zone with his army of bug-like aliens to take over our dimension. Marvel Cosmic Invasion is a side-scrolling beat 'em up that takes over a dozen Marvel heroes across the Marvel galaxy to thwart his invasion plans.

As an evolution of TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, players each select two characters from the roster, and can swap between them with the press of a button. Players can unleash assist attacks, utilize multiple health bars, and optimize their playstyle around two different fighters. The roster is a mix of galaxy and Earth-based heroes, including Spider-Man, Captain America, Silver Surfer, Wolverine, Storm, and Iron Man.

Throughout the Campaign mode, players battle in familiar locations, such as the streets of New York, Asgard, Wakanda, and Klyntar, homeworld of the symbiotes.
The optional Arcade mode features limited lives and a more streamlined story and progression.
As with Shredder's Revenge, players level up each character, granting additional health, passive bonuses, and focus meter upgrades, as well as unlocking new skins, music tracks, and Nova Corp files.
Up to four players can play together locally on the same system, as well as online with cross-platform multiplayer.

Progress cannot be saved in the middle of a level, though levels take less than 10 minutes on average.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is a sidescrolling beat 'em up with simple controls. The four main buttons are basic attack, special attack, block/dodge, and jump. Tapping a shoulder button swaps characters, while a different button unleashes an ultimate attack. A player can succeed by simply mashing the basic attack button, though later levels through more challenging enemies, and boss attacks in particular can be tricky to avoid attacks. In Campaign mode, players can restart any level if they fail.
Cosmic Invasion also features two characters per player, giving each player two separate health bars to work with.
