Mario Party 10, the latest installment in the Mario Party series from Nintendo, gives one to four players the chance to go head to head in a virtual board game. Just as in other board games, players have to roll dice and advance along a game board in order to win. In Mario Party 10, the three main game modes are Amiibo Party, Bowser Party, and Mario Party. Each has slightly different rules and features.

Story & Themes

In Mario Party 10, you go head-to-head against characters from the Super Mario universe like Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Peach. There are three main party modes: Mario Party, Bowser Party, and Amiibo Party. In Mario Party, each character attempts to collect the most ministars, which can be earned by rolling dice and landing on special spaces on the board or won in minigames.

In Bowser Party, players can either choose one person to play as Bowser, or players can all team up against a computer-controlled Bowser. Bowser attempts to knock out every player before they reach the end of the board. If they make it to the end intact, they win.

Amiibo Party is a simplified version of Mario Party. It is only playable for gamers who have purchased a compatible amiibo figurine (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Yoshi, Bowser, Donkey Kong, or Rosalina).

Heads Up!

Violence There is some light cartoon violence, like thrown hammers or giant, cartoon bullets. However, there is no gore whatsoever.

Substance Use Although there are no drugs or alcoholic drinks, Mario Party 10 does include several casino-inspired minigames.

Consumerism You must purchase amiibo figurines to unlock some of the game's boards.
