Story & Themes
Kirby: Triple Deluxe stars Kirby, an upbeat, bright pink protagonist who is awoken in the middle of the night when a giant beanstalk called the Dreamstalk picks his house up and carries it into Floralia, high in the sky above Dream Land. Many other pieces of Dream Land were carried away by the Dreamstalk, too, including the castle of King Dedede. Kirby witnesses the king being placed into a magical slumber by the insect-like creature Taranza.

It turns out that Taranza is working on behalf of Sectonia, Queen of Floralia. Sectonia wants to take over Dream Land, and Kirby must battle her to remove the Dreamstalk's vines, which cover his entire planet.

Kirby's greatest weapon is his ability to inhale and swallow his enemies, sometimes acquiring their special skills. In Triple Deluxe, the inhalation of a special fruit causes Kirby to become Hypernova, giving him the ability to suck in much larger objects such as trains or very large trees.
Difficulty
The game may be tricky for kids under five, but it is definitely designed for a young audience.
Heads Up!
Violence Kirby defeats adorable enemies by either swallowing them whole or by throwing objects at them. They usually pop and vanish from the screen. In one scene, the villain Taranza is betrayed by another villain and pushed off of a great height.
Discrimination The game is largely comprised of non-human characters, most of which are male or non-gendered.
Online Community
Triple Deluxe uses Nintendo Streetpass to allow gamers to swap collectable keychains and build their collection. There are more than two hundred keychains in total.
