Story & Themes
Kinect Sports Rivals features more of a storyline than its Xbox 360 predecessor, but even so the main focus is on the sports gameplay. When first starting the game, players can scan their likeness into the system, and the avatar created becomes their champion. As players complete events, they earn XP and fans for their champion, with the ultimate goal of becoming a superstar athlete. The game includes cutscenes that feature certain recurring characters, such as the champion's coach.
