Story & Themes
Killzone: Mercenary takes place between Killzone 2 and Killzone 3, chronologically. The story follows a mercenary named Arran Danner. Danner carries out various rescue, reconnaissance, and infiltration missions for the ISA forces.

The game is set in the Killzone universe; far in the future, humanity has split into two different populations on two different planets, one of which has a near-lethal atmosphere. Killzone: Mercenary's themes include betrayal, the ethics of germ warfare, and genocide.

Violence The game is fairly violent, with realistic blood and gore. Players can use a variety of weapons to fight.
Scary Imagery There is one scene in which corpses are shown hanging from the ceiling, which could be unsettling for some folks.
Sex & Nudity There is one scene in which corpses are shown hanging from the ceiling, fully nude. Only the buttocks are shown, though.
Strong Language Occasionally you might hear "shit."
Discrimination There is one female character in a position of power, although her part in the game is to play the damsel in distress during a rescue mission.
