Story & Themes
Infamous 2 picks up where the first game left off. Cole, resolved to stop the Beast from destroying the world, fights it in Empire City (the setting of the first game, based on New York) but is badly beaten. Empire City is destroyed and Cole retreats to New Marais (a city based on New Orleans) in an effort to buy time to make himself stronger. Standing in his way are an anti-Conduit militia and rival Conduits, with whom Cole's interaction will change depending on the player's Karmic choices.

Heads Up!
Violence The game is basically about using your superpowers on human beings, so there is a certain amount of violence inherent in that. However, you can choose whether to use your powers to simply subdue the bad guys, or to kill everyone you come across, including civilians. There isn't really any in-between, so if you've already decided not to play an evil character you're somewhat locked into that choice. Either way, the violence isn't terribly realistic since it basically involves shooting bolts of energy at people. Bad guys will use guns on the protagonist, though, regardless of whether you're playing as good or evil. There are isolated scenes where the violence is more graphic than in other scenes.
Scary Imagery There are some rather freaky looking inhuman creatures in Infamous 2.
Sex & Nudity There is some flirting between Cole and Nix in Infamous 2, including Cole slapping Nix's backside. if you play an evil Cole. Good karma playthroughs of all games in the series are fairly clean.

If you played as a villain, what did you learn from that experience? If you didn't play as a villain, why did you decide not to?
