Her Story

The fun and intrigue of Her Story comes from gradually uncovering and piecing together the fragmented story being told by the woman over the course of seven sessions with the police. Players do this by searching certain keywords in the database interface with the goal being to unearth video clips they haven't yet seen. Over time, players will get a better idea of the main characters involved in the murder and how everything relates to the backstory of the woman being interviewed.


A key theme of the game is the importance of narrative. Her Story centers on the power of a story and the role perspective can play, but the player is also a part of this unfolding narrative. As the game progresses, it is up to the player to interpret and reorder the narrative, thereby influencing the entire structure of the game.

The game's difficulty comes only in the critical thinking/investigative element of the gameplay. Otherwise, the controls are very simple and there isn't any way in which players can lose.
