Hand of Fate

Hand of Fate is, at its core, a collectible card game. Players progress through the game's main story mode by travelling across the board and drawing cards. Each card contains a short narrative, allowing players to make choices and build a story. However, occasionally a card will have a battle sequence attached to it, and this is when the game shifts to an action-RPG. During these battles, players take control of an avatar equipped with the items picked up from acquired cards, such as a sword, shield, and armor. The player can then carry out the battle as the avatar and, once the objective has been completed, will be returned to the board in the first person perspective.

The goal of Hand of Fate (in story mode) is to complete quests by travelling across and unflipping randomized cards on the board. Players will increase in level as the game's difficulty gradually increases.

The controls are easy enough to pick up, though the game does grow increasingly difficult. A certain amount of strategy is involved, particularly in building a deck.
