Geometry Wars: Galaxies

Geometry Wars: Galaxies continues the simplistic, arcade-style design of its predecessor but in an overarching space setting. In the main mode, players can play in ten different solar systems, each with their own distinct planets. Each planet is a level, and while the gameplay of each is essentially the same, the goals or limitations placed on the player vary. The general gameplay format is that players control a claw-shaped object which can shoot and move in any direction. The goal of the game is to survive as long as possible while avoiding geometrical enemies. Players have a set number of lives, and once all lives run out the game is over.

Galaxies also has a cooperative multiplayer mode and, in the DS version, and additional competitive mode.

The controls are easy to pick up, but racking up a high score requires practice and some degree of skill. Some of the levels' challenges may seem more difficult than others.

The game has multiplayer support, but only locally.
