Evolve

Evolve takes place on Shear, a distant planet in the future of mankind. Shear is valuable territory, and is besieged by alien monsters. In order to combat this threat, a retired planet tamer named William Cabot is brought in to help evacuate the remaining colonists with his team of Hunters.

The main idea is that four players team up against another player, who acts as a monster. (It is also possible to assign a computer-controlled bot as one or more of the players if you can't assemble a full team. Additionally, players can solo the game by moving in between each of the four hunters.) There are several different classes and specializations for each unit, since different characters can be chosen.

Players can not save while in the midst of a multiplayer game.

This game is relatively difficult. Playing against other people will yield different results depending on the players' abilities, while playing against the computer has something of a learning curve. When joining a game players' levels will be taken into account.
