Story & Themes
As an arcade platformer, Crossy Road Castle doesn't have a story. Up to four players play cooperatively through an endless series of randomized levels. Players choose a castle, which features a specific theme and dictates the kinds of challenges and levels, such as the Construction Tower or the Creepy Carnival.
Originally designed for Apple Arcade, Crossy Road Castle features minimal pixel graphics and simple controls, but features dozens of hours of randomized levels of varying difficulty, and lots of unlockable characters, hats, and achievements.
Save Points
Crossy Road Castle cannot be saved during a run. The only way to stop is to run out of lives, or choose to end it early and receive the score.
Difficulty
Crossy Road Castle is very easy to play, requiring only 2D movement and a single jump button (there's not even a sprint option, making it easier than most Mario platformers). Levels vary in difficulty from extremely easy with minimal effort, to quite challenging. Boss battles occur every 30 levels, and are designed to be a challenging experience.
Heads Up!
Violence Players can jump on enemies to defeat them, and players can be defeated by touching enemies or spikes. Defeated enemies (and players) quickly disappear.
