Call of Duty

Call of Duty has three different single-player campaigns focusing on the American, British, and Soviet Union perspective. The American campaign takes place primarily in 1944 in German-occupied France. Private Joe Martin and his regiment are tasked with retaking and holding the town of Sainte-Mère-Église, and later Martin is commended for his work and entrusted with the task of rescuing two British officers who are being held in Austria.


In the British campaign, Sergeant Jack Evans begins by capturing and defending a bridge in France against German forces. Later, he is sent to Germany as part of the team breaching the Eder Dam. Evans and others are forced to eventually retreat, and Evans impersonates a German sailor in order to infiltrate a battleship. In his last mission, Evans is tasked with destroying V2 rockets near Burgsteinfurt.


The Soviet campaign follows Corporal Alexei Ivanovich Voronin and begins during the Battle of Stalingrad. Voronin and his unit help to clear German soldiers from Red Square and the surrounding area. After being promoted to Sergeant, Voronin and the rest of the 150th Rifle Division take a war tank repair center in Warsaw. They advance toward the Oder River, eventually claiming the town. In his final mission, Voronin and his unit fight their way to the Reichstag building in Berlin where they raise the Victory Banner.

Players can manually save their progress at any point in the game.
