Story & Themes
Call of Duty: Black Ops III stars the player character as a soldier who has been cybernetically enhanced in order to save his/her life. Several years later, the player joins up with an elite force made up of other black ops soldiers to investigate a criminal organization. Ultimately, the player uncovers a secret CIA project that involves experimenting on humans and faces a commander who has gone rogue. The game features an additional storyline that takes place in the 1940s and includes zombies.
The controls haven't changed much from the previous games, but newcomers to the series will have to learn them without too much assistance from tutorials. Multiple difficulty settings are available.
Violence The game features frequent moments of combat in which players shoot, blow up, or melee-attack enemies. A scene of graphic torture is depicted.
Sex & Nudity There's a sexually suggestive moment in the single-player campaign that involves gyrating, but both of the characters retain their clothes.
Strong Language Strong language occurs pretty frequently in dialogue and includes words like "motherf*ckers" and "sh*t."
Substance Use Various characters are shown smoking and drinking.
Consumerism Black Ops III is part of a massive franchise of games. Also, players can purchase additional maps with real-world money.
