Bejeweled 2

Bejeweled 2, like its predecessor, is solely based on puzzle gameplay. The basic premise is to match three or more gems of the same type in a horizontal or vertical chain by swapping one gem for another. The goal is to score as many points as possible by making high-point matches and snagging chain reactions which occur when new gems falling from the top of the screen and onto the board match up.

The game features several new modes that are absent from the original Bejeweled. Action Mode introduces a time limit and Puzzle Mode increases the cerebral element of the game. In Endless Mode, the player never runs out of moves and so, as the name suggests, the game can go on forever.

Bejeweled 2 is very easy to play, and the simple structure of the puzzle allows younger kids to pick it up. Its various modes allow for a decent range in the challenge level.
