Story & Themes
Batman: Arkham Knight picks up after the death of the Joker, and stars a Batman who is dealing with the absence of his nemesis. He doesn't have long to dwell on it before a different enemy, Scarecrow, launches an attack on Gotham City. Scarecrow releases a fear toxin into the city, using the ensuing chaos to further his ultimate plan. Teaming up with other villains, including the mysterious Arkham Knight, Scarecrow and his allies plot to bring about Batman's downfall once and for all.
The game saves your progress at checkpoints whenever anything important happens.
Violence The game depicts characters being tortured and killed, though Batman himself does not kill anyone. He does, however, fight enemies with force; breaking their arms, for example. Blood is present.
Scary Imagery The game has a dark aesthetic, and its villains can be scary.
Sex & Nudity Some of the female villains dress and speak provocatively.
Strong Language Strong language appears somewhat frequently in conversations and includes words like "sh*t" and "b*tch."
Substance Use A few characters are shown smoking. Drinking and drug use are referenced but not depicted.
Consumerism Arkham Knight is a part of a popular series of video games as well as the larger Batman franchise that includes comic books and films.
