Audiosurf is a rhythm game where the player controls a spacecraft careening down a floating path. You can import your music to the game and it will use the beat to create a unique track for each song, which you can then "surf" down.
There are several game modes. In some you try to avoid grey blocks while collecting colored blocks on the beat. In others, you have several colors of blocks which you try to match to get the most points possible. At the end of the song you can compare your score on that song to the scores that other players have gotten—either locally or globally.
Your score for each song is saved after the song is completed.
The controls are easy to master, and people of any age can play the game.
The game has three difficulty modes to choose from, and certain songs are more difficult than others. For example, a slow song will generally be easier to play than a fast song; but a slow song in Elite (the most difficult) mode can still be a fun challenge.
Violence There is no violent content in Audiosurf.
Sex & Nudity There is no nudity in Audiosurf.
Strong Language There is no swearing in Audiosurf; unless your music already has swearing in it.
Substance Use There is no substance use in Audiosurf.
Consumerism The game does not encourage consumerism.
Discrimination There are no issues of representation in Audiosurf.
You can play the game without connecting to the online community. If you do, the only interaction you have is through the leaderboards where you can compare scores.
