Story & Themes
The world of Horizon takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting, mysteriously featuring tribal humans with little technology, and highly advanced, sentient robot-dinosaurs. How the world reached this unique point is told throughout the main campaign, as well as Aloy's unique place within it, though this LEGO spinoff uses a far more abridged version that focuses more on Aloy and her friends.
The story isn't the only thing that's changed; this is a LEGO game after all. But unlike most LEGO games, there is limited exploration, and no real puzzles to solve. Instead, players will journey through a series of linear combat arenas. Thankfully combat has been greatly expanded from the typical LEGO games, offering big-scale battles against enemies with weak points. Players can also level up their characters, unlock new skills, and customize the hub town of Mother's Heart.
Difficulty
LEGO Horizon Adventures features five different difficulty levels. LEGO games are known for kid-friendly controls and easy brawling combat.
Heads Up!
Violence LEGO Horizon Adventures is more focused on combat than most LEGO games, as players use melee and ranged weapons to destroy enemy robot dinosaurs. But everything is made of LEGO bricks, making it very kid-friendly.
